Foodborne Disease

Foodborne disease (also referred as foodborne illness or food poisoning) is any illness casued by consumption of contaminated foods or drinks.

Most foodborne diseases are infections caused by a variety of bacteria, viruses, and parasites as well as chemical or natural toxins such as poisonous mushrooms.

Symptoms of Foodborne Illness

Common symptoms of foodborne illness are nausea, vomiting, abdominal cramps and diarrhea are frequent in foodborne diseases. Other symptoms might include abdominal cramps, nausea, fever, joint/back aches and fatigue.
